Hate male
Dear Wendyl,
I feel I must write to express my disappointment that many of your replies in this column are distinctly anti-male. According to you, all men are immature and ridiculous specimens who must be treated like babies by their partners. I’d like to point out that feminist sexist attitudes like yours are the reason so many marriages end in divorce these days. Please try to be a little more objective in future.*

Dear No name, oh, grow up. I’ve just looked back over the past few columns and found that most of the letters concerning men involved them demanding sex at unreasonable hours, making fun of their girlfriend’s favourite TV show, still living in their parents’ home at the age of 30 and riding a bike without a helmet. What parts of these behaviours are not immature or ridiculous? I love men – I married two of them! But I also believe that the male species has a long way to go on the evolutionary path. When this country has no need for women’s refuges, rape crisis centres or the domestic purposes benefit, because all males are acting like reasonable adults, I’ll be the first to hand men an award.Wendyl
