Directed by Academy Award nominee Irene Taylor, I Am: Celine Dion – available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime from Tuesday, June 25 – promises to be a “love letter to fans” and to the music that has guided the singer through her shocking diagnosis.

Which illness does Celine Dion suffer from?
Celine Dion has suffered from incredibly rare disease Stiff Person Syndrome for more than 17 years. In a recent interview with NBC, Celine revealed she was forced to cancel shows and change her singing style while seeking out a diagnosis for her ongoing spasms.
“If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl,” she says in the heart-wrenching documentary trailer. “And I won’t stop. I won’t stop.”
According to the Columbia University Irving Medical Centre, SPS is a progressive autoimmune and neurological disorder that affects less than 5000 people in the United States.
