Two major streaming platforms are combining their TV catalogues

Just in case you needed more on your watch list... how about Severance, Slow Horses or Ted Lasso?

If you’re anything like me, you can’t keep up with the sheer number of streaming platforms on offer. Disney+, Netflix, Neon, Prime Video, Apple TV+… that’s not to mention the free-to-air versions here in New Zealand. I am paying for so many subscriptions, there are at least two that are falling by the wayside.

But in excellent news for us TV and movie addicts, two major subscription services are combining forces. From Tuesday, March 18,  Apple TV+ will be available via Prime Video in New Zealand as an add-on subscription for $14.99 per month.

That means Prime Video customers in New Zealand will be able to enjoy award-winning and hit Apple Original shows. On our watch list? Ted Lasso and Shrinking for when we need a laugh, Slow Horses when we’re in the mood for a gritty Brirish drama, and Severance for when we want to be bamboozled. Find some of our Apple TV+ faves here. That’s on top of Prime Video’s excellent lineup, which includes Jury Duty, Mr and Mrs Smith and The Boys, amongst others. Check out our Aussie shopping editor Chanelle Mansour’s top picks here.

Ted Lasso on Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ joins Prime Video’s collection of add-on subscription options, which includes movies to buy or rent and live sports. Basically, everything you need to get you through that week off work with the flu this winter.
